{"id":1530,"date":"2023-11-29T16:16:10","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T15:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.hec.uliege.be\/?p=1530"},"modified":"2023-11-29T16:17:50","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T15:17:50","slug":"leuven-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.hec.uliege.be\/?p=1530","title":{"rendered":"Leuven 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On Thursday, October 26th, about thirty students from the Dutch 2 course visited Leuven with their teachers, Mrs. Cutaia, Mrs. de Lamotte, and Mrs. Nsita. The purpose of this day was to allow students to engage with the Dutch language and Flemish culture outside of their three hours of weekly classes. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The morning was dedicated to exploring the historic center of the city to admire, among other things, the town hall, St. Peter&#8217;s Church, the Beguinages, the Botanical Garden, and also to discover various key buildings of the KU Leuven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the afternoon, the group visited the Vaartkom district, undergoing redevelopment, where the original Stella Artois Brewery was located. They then participated in a tour of the current brewery site, which is now part of the AB Inbev group, the world&#8217;s largest brewing company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The students had the opportunity to see the brewery in full operation and concluded the day by enjoying a well-deserved Stella Artois!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped \/><\/a><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Le jeudi 26 octobre, une trentaine d\u2019\u00e9tudiants du cours de N\u00e9erlandais 2 se sont rendus \u00e0 Leuven avec leurs professeures Madame Cutaia, Madame de Lamotte et Madame Nsita. L\u2019objectif de cette journ\u00e9e \u00e9tait de permettre aux \u00e9tudiants d\u2019\u00eatre en contact avec le n\u00e9erlandais et la culture flamande en dehors de leurs trois heures de cours hebdomadaires. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La matin\u00e9e fut consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 la visite du centre historique de la ville afin d\u2019admirer, entre autres, l\u2019h\u00f4tel de ville, l\u2019Eglise Saint-Pierre, les B\u00e9guinages et le Jardin Botanique mais aussi de d\u00e9couvrir diff\u00e9rents b\u00e2timents-cl\u00e9s de la KUL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi, le groupe s\u2019est rendu dans le quartier du Vaartkom, en pleine r\u00e9habilitation, o\u00f9 \u00e9tait implant\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019origine la Brasserie Stella Artois avant de participer \u00e0 une visite du site actuel de la brasserie, qui fait aujourd\u2019hui partie du groupe AB Inbev, le plus grand groupe brassicole du monde. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les \u00e9tudiants ont ainsi pu d\u00e9couvrir la brasserie en pleine action et cl\u00f4turer la journ\u00e9e en d\u00e9gustant une Stella Artois bien m\u00e9rit\u00e9e !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, October 26th, about thirty students from the Dutch 2 course visited Leuven with their teachers, Mrs. Cutaia, Mrs. de Lamotte, and Mrs. Nsita.
